MARY FLORENCE KETCHUM GOODRICH 

MARY F. GOODRICH 

  SURRY - Mary F. Goodrich, age 94, formerly of Surry, died Feb. 10, 1998, in 
West Palm Beach, Fla., where she was a member of Wagg Memorial Church.  She 
was the widow of Orvid E. Goodrich of Surry, who died in 1987. 

  She was born in Wilmington, N.C., on Dec. 15, 1903, the daughter of Walter 
Kitchum of Wilmington and Stella Herring of Clear Run, Sampson County, N.C. 
Mrs. Goodrich spent most of her adult life in the Washington, D.C., area and 
was a retired Federal government employee.  Mostly, she will be remembered for 
her many friends, her strong sense of family and her wonderful sense of humor. 

  Mrs. Goodrich is survived by her son, Walter D. Goodrich, and his wife, 
Margaret, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; grandson, Walter D. Goodrich, Jr., and his 
wife, Diane; great-grandson, Wade, all of Palmyra; granddaughter, Dianne 
Boatwright, and her husband, Michael; and great-grandchildren, Lisa, Scott and 
John Boatwright, all of Eustis, Fla. 

  Mary will be laid to rest in Rocky Hock United Methodist Church Cemetery in 
Wakefield on Saturday, April 11, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ray Rowland 
officiating. 

  Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, is handling arrangements.
