HENRY OSBORNE "OZZIE" GOODRICH 

H. OSBORNE GOODRICH 

  WAKEFIELD - H. Osborne "Ozzie" Goodrich, 69, died Sunday, Aug. 12, in a 
Medical College of Virginia hospital, Richmond. 

  Mr. Goodrich, a retired farmer, was a lifelong Surry resident and attended 
Burton's Grove Congregational Christian Church, Wakefield.  He also retired as 
a truck driver from Wakefield Farm Service. 

  Survivors include his wife, Alice Emory Goodrich; three daughters, Jeannette 
G. Newbold and Linda G. Joyce, both of Waverly, and Barbara G. Britt of 
Wakefield; one son, Charles H. Goodrich of Pensacola, Fla.; and seven 
grandchildren. 

  A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Purviance Funeral Home 
by the Dr. R.E. Brittle.  Burial will be in Rocky Hock United Methodist 
Cemetery. 

  The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight in the funeral home. 

  The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of 
contributions to American Cancer Society, 618-C J. Clyde Morris Blvd., Newport 
News, 23601, or a local rescue squad.

HENRY OSBORNE "OZZIE" GOODRICH 

  WAKEFIELD - H. Osborne "Ozzie" Goodrich, 69, died Sunday, Aug. 12, at 
Medical College of Virginia, Richmond. 

  Mr. Goodrich was a lifelong resident of Surry County.  He was a retired 
farmer and truck driver for Wakefield Farm Service and attended Burton's Grove 
Congregational Church, Wakefield.  He was the son of the late Charles Henry 
and Essie Whitmore Goodrich.  He was the grandfather of the late Kevin Ray 
Joyce. 

  Survivors include his wife, Alice Emory Goodrich; three daughters, Jeanette 
G. Newbold and Linda G. Joyce, both of Waverly and Barbara G. Britt of 
Wakefield; a son, Charles H. Goodrich of Pensacola, Fla.; and seven 
grandchildren. 

  Funeral services were held at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield on 
Wednesday, Aug. 15, at 11 a.m. officiated by Dr. R.E. Brittle.  Burial was in 
Rocky Hock Cemetery, Wakefield. 

  Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to your 
local rescue squad.
