GOODRICH Mrs. Rena Richardson Goodrich, 78, of Wakefield died March 9 in Louise Obici Hospital after a short illness. She was a native of Southampton County but had resided in Surry County for a number of years. She was a member of Rocky Hock Methodist Church. The widow of Robert B. Goodrich, she was a daughter of Frank and Katie Hargrave Richardson. She is survived by three sons, Herman D. Goodrich of Wakefield; Robert J. Goodrich of Carrsville, and Fenton R. Goodrich of Ivor; one sister, Mrs. Charlie Murphy of Wakefield; two brothers, Berkley B. Richardson of Chuckatuck and Stanley Richardson of Windsor; six grandchildren and severl nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Purviance Funeral Chapel Saturday, March 11, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Edward Owen officiating. Burial was in Rocky Hock Church cemetery. Pallbearers were: G.O. Huber, R.J. Bailey, Jack Bailey, Joe Eggleston, Frank Richardson and Carlton Goodrich.
