MARY SUE SIMMONS GOODRICH 

  Sue Simmons Goodrich, resident of Surry, died Thursday, March 27, 1997 at 
St. Mary's Hospital, Richmond.  Born in Southampton County, she was daughter 
of the late William Butts Simmons, Jr. & Hylah Camp Simmons.  She was a member 
of Surry United Methodist Church.  She is survived by her husband Ernest 
Whitmore Goodrich, two daughters, Pamela Goodrich Palmore, Richmond, Cynthia 
Goodrich Allred, Denver, Colo., a sister, Margaret Simmons Horton, Princeton, 
WV, four grandchildren, Michael Goodrich Palmore, Elizabeth Camp Palmore, Seth 
Whitmore Allred, and Timothy Camp Allred. 

  A graveside funeral service was held in Rocky Hock United Methodist Church 
Cemetery, Wakefield Friday at 11 a.m.  The family received friends at Rocky 
Hock United Methodist Church following the service.  Memorial donations may 
be made to Surry United Methodist Church, Surry, VA 23883. 

  Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield is handling arrangements.

  Sue Simmons Goodrich, a resident of Surry, Va., died Thursday, March 27,

Funeral Home, Wakefield is handling arrangements.
