Burial was in the Old Brick Church cemetery at Bacon’s Castle. In lieu of flowers the family suggested that contributions be made to Surry County Rescue Squad. Pallbearers were William H. Epps, Robert E. Epps III, James H. Epps, Beaton M. James, George Diggs Jr., and James H. Bradshaw, Jr. Galloway, 54, died Saturday morning. A native of Surry County, he was a son of David Raymond and Mrs. Willie Holt Galloway and the husband of Mrs. Helen Epps Galloway. He was a member of Surry Baptist Church and Surry Hunt Club, and was an employee of Newport News Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Co. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Airman 2 C.D.R. Galloway III stationed at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, Colo.; a sister, Mrs. Leroy Berryman of Surry; and a brother John Galloway of Franklin.
