DAVID RAYMOND GALLOWAY 

D.R. GALLOWAY, 74, BURIED FRIDAY IN OLD BRICK CH. CEM. 

  D.R. Galloway Sr., 74, residence of Surry for 45 years, died at his home 
there Thursday morning after a short illness.

  He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War.

  He is survived by two brothers W.D. and L.H. Galloway of Baltimore; two 
sons, Raymond Galloway Jr. of Newport News and John Galloway of Franklin, 
Va.; one daughter, Miss Elizabeth Galloway of Surry, and three grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at the grave in the Old Brick Church Cemetery at 
Bacons Castle Friday at 4 o'clock.

*Find A Grave calls this variously Lower Surry Cemetery and Bacons Castle 
   Cemetery - they don't have a memorial (Oct 2017) for David or his son 
   Raymond, also buried there.
