DOROTHY EVILO GROVE 

FUNERAL OF MISS DOROTHY E. GROVE 

  Dendron, Va., Nov. 13 - Miss Dorothy E. Grove, age 19 years, daughter of Mr. 
and Mrs. Robert Grove, of Roanoke, Va., died Friday, November 9, at 2:50 p.m., 
following a long illness.

  The funeral services were conducted at Oakley's Chapel, Roanoke, Saturday at 
3 p.m. by Rev. Conrad, pastor of Raleigh Court Baptist Church, Eastern Star 
services were conducted by member of Carrie Lee Chapter No. 108 and Electa 
Chapter No. 33, after which the body was conveyed to train and sent to Surry, 
Va, where burial took place Sunday at 10 a.m. in Oakwood Cemetery.  The 
services were conducted by Rev. Dalton, pastor of the Surry Baptist Church, 
assisted by Rev. E.C. Mokosky, D.D., president of the Maryland M.P. 
Conference.  Music was furnished by the choirs of the Surry churches, and the 
following hymns were sung: "Safe in the Arms of Jesus", "Asleep in Jesus", and 
"Rock of Ages".

  The active pallbearers were J.A. Savedge, R.E. Savedge, J.H. Bell, T.W. 
Rowell and J.W. Rowell; honorary P.O. Goodrich, A.R. Chapman, P.G. Chapman, 
C.W. Baker, J.W. Baker, W.J. Bell, L.W. Savedge, R.A. Savedge and McGregor 
Brown.

  In addition to her parents the deceased is survived by two uncles, Mr. A.M. 
Savedge and Mr. H.T. Savedge and one aunt, Mrs. I.S. Savedge, all of Surry, Va.

   dt/o Robert Grove, b. Pa., & Helen Savedge, b. Surry; 
   the informant was her father. 

Her gravestone, pictured with her Find a Grave Memorial, #86719073, 
   gives b. 15 Sep 1908.  Her mother is also buried there.
