MILDRED FAISON GARRETT 

  NEWPORT NEWS - Mildred Faison Garrett, 80, a native of Dendron and a 
Peninsula resident for 60 years, died Monday, Dec. 9.

  Mrs. Garrett was a member of Temple Baptist Church and Order of the 
Eastern Star, Warwick Chapter 43.

  Survived by her husband, Reuben Bryan Garrett; six sisters, Katherine 
F. Greco of Waverly, Evelyn Whiteman of Newport News, Charlotte Grubbs 
of Dendron, Frances Bloxom and Harriett Whitmore of West Point and 
Barbara Seward of Richmond; and two brothers, Robert Faison, Jr. of 
Surry and Wallace Faison of Dendron.

  Visitation from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Peninsula Funeral Home.

  Funeral at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home by Drs. David 
Goodroe and J. Walter Martin.  Burial in Peninsula Memorial Park.
