A lifelong resident of Surry County, he was a son of the late Nelson M. and Myra Johnson Huber. Mr. Huber had attended Rocky Hock United Methodist Church, was a retired farmer, and husband of the late Mattie Hargrave Huber. He is survived by two daughters, Betty H. Brinkley and husband, Morris A. of Suffolk, and Joyce H. Fuller and husband, Wilbur M. of Wakefield; a son, David W. Huber and wife, Beatrice D. of Wakefield; a brother, Nelson M. Huber, Jr. of Waverly; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was a brother to the late Mary H. Lane. Graveside services were held at Rocky Hock United Methodist Church Cemetery, Wakefield, on Oct. 6 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jim Baker officiating. The family received friends at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, Thursday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Ivor Vol. Rescue Squad, Ivor, VA 23866 or the American Cancer Society, Surry/ Sussex Unit, P.O.
