HUNNICUTT BURIED SEPT. 22 AT BACONS CASTLE George Glenn Hunnicutt, 44, of Bacon's Castle, died unexpectedly September 20, 1956, in the Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk. A lifelong resident of Surry County, he had been employed as a foreman for the State Highway Department for the last 20 years. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Bacon's Castle Baptist Church, also of its Young Men's Bible Class and the church choir. A son of the late George E. and Mrs. Lillian Barlow Hunnicutt, he is survived by is wife, Mrs. Phyllis Boisseau Hunnicutt; a daughter, Deborah Lee Hunnicutt; a son, George G. Hunnicutt, Jr.; a sister, Miss Sarah R. Hunicutt; two brothers, James Lee Hunnicutt and William Bruce Holloman, and a step-father, J. Bruce Holloman, all of Bacon's Castle. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Bullock Funeral Home by the Rev. J.A. Cales, former pastor of Bacon's Castle Church. Burial was in the Old Brick Church Cemetery at Bacon's Castle. George Glenn HUNNICUTT, of Bacons Castle, State Hwy.
