JAMES FUNERAL HELD Mrs. Cora B. James, wife of R.R. James of Surry, died at her home Dec. [sic; Jan.] 5, following an illness of several weeks. Born in Surry County January 1, 1865, she was the daughter of George Francis Barham and Nancy Cofer. She is survived by her husband, three sons, W.E., of Surry; George of Richmond; F.C. of Newport News, a daughter, Mrs. O.L. Edwards, of Engelhard, N.C.; four brothers, W.J. Barham, J.R. Barham, John J. Barham, of Elberon, and C.M. Barham, of Rich Square, N.C.; three sisters, Mrs. P.W. Mitchell, Mrs. J.B. Jones of Smithfield and Mrs. J.H. Holt of Surry; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the residence at 3:00 o'clock Friday afternoon, with the Rev. A.W.H. Jones officiating. Burial was in Moore's Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. Cora O. (BARHAM; Mrs. Robert R.)
