JONES, 80, OF RUSHMERE BURIED MONDAY Funeral rites for Jason J. Jones, 80, who died Saturday, October 5th after a long illness, at his home near Rushmere were held Monday, October 7th at 3:30 p.m. at the grave in Old Brick Church Cemetery at Bacons Castle with the Rev. Otis Gilliam and Rev. Colston officiating. Mr. Jones was a lifelong native of Isle of Wight County. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Mary Martha Jones; seven sons, B.B. Jones; A.M. Jones; E.W. Jones, J.C. Jones; C.E. Jones; W.B. Jones all of Rushmere and J.W. Jones of Richmond, Va.; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Webb of Richmond; Mrs. Martha Turner of Smithfield; Mrs. Virginia Barrett and Miss Alice Jones of Rushmere; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Thacker and Mrs. Lizzie West of Smithfield; four brothers, W.B. Jones; W.D. Jones; W.L. Jones of Smithfield and S.J. Jones of Ivor; twenty grandchildren; one great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. ****************************************************************************** JASON J. JONES BURIED OCT. 7TH IN OLD BRICK CEMETERY Funeral services for Jason J. Jones who died October 5th at his residence near Rushmere were held at the grave at 3:30 Monday, October 7th with the Rev. Otis L. Gilliam and the Rev. J.F. Colston officiating. Interment was in the Old Brick Church Cemetery at Bacons Castle. Active pallbearers were Percy Rife; Fred Rife; Andrew Jones; Douglas Jones; Eugene Jones; Lawrence Thacker; Thomas Wiley West and Fenton Jones. Honorary pallbearers were other friends of the family.
