ROY MARVIN KNIGHT 

  Roy Marvin Knight, 70, of Wakefield, died Sunday, December 5, at a Richmond 
hospital after a long illness.  He was a native of Southampton, a retired 
farmer and a member of Rocky Hock Methodist Church.  He had been a member of 
the Wakefield Hunt Club. 

  He was the son of Mrs. Wortley Worrell Knight and the late Benjamin F. 
Knight.  Besides his mother he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Louise Howell 
Knight; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph C. Romines, and Mrs. Betty Lee Simms, both 
of Wakefield; one brother, Ben. E. Knight of Wakefield; one sister Mrs. Rossie 
E. Andrews of Wakefield, and one granddaughter, Miss Tomi Simms, also of 
Wakefield. 

  Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 6, at 3:30 p.m. at the Purviance 
Funeral Chapel with Rev. Edward B. Owen and Rev. Gardner Underhill 
officiating.  Burial was in Rocky Hock Church Cemetery. 

  Pallbearers were Ralph Seeley, John Cafazza, Hubert Fredenburg, Hartwell 
Barrett, J. Ernest Pittman, J.N. Barker, Jacob Laine and E.S. Kitchen.
