HAZEL MATTHEWS LUCE 

MRS. LUCE 

  WAKEFIELD - Mrs. Hazel Matthews Luce, 79, a native of Surry County, died 
Wednesday in Arcadia, Calif. 

  She was a member of Dendron Christian Church. 

  Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Blanche L. Murray of Arcadia and Mrs. 
Joyce D. Kelly of Huntsville, Ala.; five sisters, Mrs. Clarice Cofer of 
Dendron, Mrs. K.W. Shaw of Highland Springs, Mrs. R.A. Ligon, Mrs. Lewis 
Trotzman and Mrs. J.T. DeBrito, all of Richmond, and two grandchildren. 

  A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Purviance Funeral Home, 
Wakefield, by Dr. R.E. Brittle. 

  Burial will be in Rocky Hock Methodist Church Cemetery. 

  The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:30 Sunday at the funeral 
home.
