LOGAN Funeral services for Mrs. J.A. Logan of Surry County were held at the grave in Oak Grove Cemetery Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. Rev. J.J. Von Hagel pastor of Oak Grove Methodist church assisted by Rev. T.W. Page of Bacon’s Castle conducted the services. Mrs. Logan died at Johnson-Willis Hospital in Richmond Thursday afternoon Apr. 30 at the age of 34 [sic; 35*]. She is survived by her husband, J.A. Logan, six sons, John Edward, William, Ralph, Robert and an infant, her father, J.A. Thomas and one brother Willie Thomas. Active pallbearers were Charlie Bell, Clyde Hunnicutt, Richard Scott, Tilton Edwards, Jack Edwards and Walter Rawlings. Friends of the family served as honorary pallbearers.
