BLAIR PEGRAM Suffolk, Va., January 19 - Major Blair Pegram, one of the oldest and most honored citizens of this section, died at his home in Smithfield today at 10 o'clock after a long illness.  Major Pegram was a native of Sussex County, but had spent the grater part of his life in Surry County.  For the past fifteen years Major Pegram had resided in Smithfield. He was a Confederate veteran, having been a member of the Surry Calvary of '61 and '65.  He is survived by his widow and two daughters - Mrs. C.W. Warren and Mrs. T.N. Jones, both of Smithfield - and a grandson - Warren Pegram Warren, also of Smithfield.  The funeral services will be held at Christ Episcopal Church on Friday morning at 10 o'clock, and the interment will be made at the Surry Episcopal Church, Bacons' Castle, conducted by Rev. R.R. Phelps, of Smithfield, assisted by Rev. Francis Lee, of Franklin. The burial services will be in charge of the Smithfield Union Lodge, A.F. & A.M. No. 8, of which Major Pegram was an old and honored member.
