GRACE HARRIS POND

  WAKEFIELD - Grace Harris Pond, 84, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, in the Waverly 
Health Care Center.

  Mrs. Pond was a native of Richmond.  She was a member of the Rocky Hock 
United Methodist Church and the W.S.C.S. of the Rocky Hock United Methodist 
Church and the V.F.W.C. of Wakefield.  She was a graduate of the Virginia 
State Teachers College and the University of Virginia and received her Masters 
of Education for William and Mary in 1974, at the age of 69.  She was the 
widow of Walter M. Pond and the daughter of the late James Russell and Martha 
Mosby Harris.

  Survivors include two sons, Steve R. Pond of Waverly and Raymond W. Pond of 
Midlothian; a sister, Ola S. Ross of Ocala, Fla.; eight grandchildren and two 
great-grandchildren.

  A funeral was held Sunday, Nov. 19, at 2 p.m., at Rocky Hock United 
Methodist Church of Surry by the Rev. Jess V. Staton and Rev. Winston Baldwin. 
Burial was in the Rocky Hock United Methodist Church cemetery.

  Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 6767 Forest 
Hill Avenue, Room 305, Richmond, 23225.

  Purviance Funeral Home of Wakefield was in charge of the arrangements.
