RUTH ALBINA RIVES POND 


  WAKEFIELD, VA. - Oct. 23 - Mrs. Ruth A. Pond, wife of John D. Pond, of Surry 
County, died at her home Friday night.  She was the daughter of the late 
Andrew and Florence Reives [sic; Rives] and was 41 years of age.  She is 
survived by her husband, a sister and one brother, Mrs. Frank Pond and 
Sterling Rives, all of Wakefield. 

  Funeral services were held from the home on Sunday afternoon, conducted by 
the Rev. A.K. Lambdin, the Rev. C.E. Gerringer and the Rev. R.M. Pleasants. 
Interment made in the family cemetery at the home of the deceased.
