CLARENCE WESLEY PROFFITT 

  CLAREMONT - Clarence Wesley Proffit, 65, a resident of Claremont, died 
Friday, March 11.

  A native of Lynchburg, he was a member of the Church of God, Lynchburg and 
charter member of the Tanner’s Creek Volunteer Fire Department, Norfolk.  He 
retired in 1983 after 40 years as an instructor at the Norfolk Air Re-work 
Facility.
