Mr. Price was a native of Surry County. He was a deacon and Sunday school superintendent at New Lebanon Congregational Christian Church in Elberon. He was a member of the Blackwater Sportsman Club and Union Hunt Club. He was the son of the late Jack Dudley and Matie Pittman Price. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Laine Price; a daughter, Judith P. Kent of Dendron; two sons, Steve Gordon Price of Elberon and D. Eugene Brittle of Wakefield; five sisters, Christelle P. English of Ivor, Edith P. Campbell of Gastonia, N.C., Ruby P. Jennings, Mary P. Barna and Charlotte A. Price of Dendron; a brother, Wilson Price of Baltimore, Md.; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held at New Lebanon Congregational Christian Church, Elberon at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 26 officiated by the Rev. William M. Everhart with interment in the Price family cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to new Lebanon Congregational Christian Church, Elberon, Va. 23846. Purviance Funeral Home handled arrangements.
