DOROTHY MURPHY PRESSON 

  Dorothy Murphy Presson, 79, widow of Harris C. "Bubba" Presson, of Tandem 
Health Care of Windsor, formerly of Wakefield died Apr. 1, 2004.  She was a 
lifelong homemaker and mother.  She was the daughter of the late Joseph Bailey 
Murphy and Doris Brittle Murphy.

  She was a lifelong member of Rocky Hock Methodist Church in Wakefield. 
She also attended Wakefield Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by a 
brother, Stanley C. Murphy.

  Survivors include three daughters, Judy P. Baldwin and husband, Danny, of 
Wakefield; Jane P. Franklin and husband, Ben, of Alabaster, AL; Berdie P. Duck 
and husband, Leland, of Windsor; and a son H. Collier Presson, Jr. and wife, 
Deborah, of Wakefield; seven grandchildren: April B. Holt, Joe Baldwin and 
Jason Baldwin of Wakefield; Iralyn Franklin of Alabaster, AL; Clinton Presson 
of Wakefield; Anthony Presson of Goldsboro, N.C. and Dee Council of Windsor; 
13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nell M. Goodrich, of Suffolk.  She 
leaves behind many cherished friends and relatives.

  A funeral service was held, Apr. 4 at 2 p.m. at Rocky Hock United Methodist 
Church, Wakefield with Rev. Jim Kerr and Rev. G.C. Branton officiating. 
Burial followed in the church cemetery.

  Visitation was at Purviance Funeral Chapel on Apr. 3 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
