In June of 1922, she married Howard Henley Presson, who died in 1929 leaving Edna with three small children - H.C. "Bubba" Presson, Howard Presson, and Allie B. Presson. Edna worked at and retired from Peebles Department Store in Wakefield where she was employed as a saleswoman and buyer for many years. Edna loved life, and her church and family were very important to her. She was talented with her hands, making a lot of clothes for her twin granddaughters, Judy Presson Baldwin and Jane Presson Franklin. One of her small great-grandsons once commented, "Granny can do anything - sew, knit, make pickles, and her special strawberries." At the age of 90, Edna went with her family on her first cruise! She was a very active member in Rocky Hock Church, and was instrumental from the beginning in the making of Christmas ornaments for the church. She loved making the advent wreaths each year for the church, and continued to do so until her death. Edna was know for her "copper carrots" which she always brought to the Rocky Hock book review luncheons. At the time of her death, Edna had been blesses with 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She is buried in Rocky Hock Cemetery.
