Mr. J.H. Preston [sic], a prominent citizen of Isle of Wight county, whose home was near Ivor, died yesterday, in his sixtieth year. He leaves a widow, and three sons - J.H., L.J., and John Preston. The funeral services will be conducted from the home Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Junius Joel PRESSON, farmer, Confederate veteran, b. He served as a private in the Surry Light Artillery. The application for his headstone gives Joel J., buried in a private cemetery near Ivor. His daughter Lucy (PRESSON) JOYNER made the application 21 Sep 1934. The stone was to be shipped to his son J. Henley PRESSON, of Wakefield.
