A native of Geneva, Switzerland, she was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She was a graduate of Randolph Macon Womens College and the Stuart Circle School of Nursing. She served as a public health nurse from 1921 to 1956. She was a member of Thomas Rolfe Branch of the A.P.V.A. Survivors include a brother, Francis C. Brooke, and three sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Rose, Mrs. Clara Babelon, and Mrs. Dora Bourquin, all of Europe. A funeral service was held Sunday at 4 p.m. in Oakwood Cemetery, Surry, by the Rev. Carter Harris. Purviance Funeral Home had charge. Memorials may be made to the Surry Rescue Squad.
