Graveside services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Moore’s Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. The Purviance Chapel of J.T. Morris and son Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Wakefield, is in charge. ****************************************************************************** STANLEY BURT SAVEDGE Stanley Burt Savedge, 95, passed away Monday, February 26, 2007 at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Virginia. Born March 19, 1911 he was the son of the late Richard Savedge and Martha Barfield Savedge. Mr. Savedge was predeceased by his wife, Virginia James Savedge. He was a retired carpenter having worked for Ocean Electric, and a member of Moore’s Swamp Baptist Church in Elberon, Virginia He is survived by several nieces and nephews, and devoted caregiver, Goldie Warren and Family. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by nine brother and sisters. Graveside funeral services were held Friday, March 2, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at Moore’s Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery in Elberon, Virginia with the Rev. Ray Rowling officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Moore’s Swamp Baptist Church, 7365 New Design Rd., Elberon, VA 23846. The Purviance Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Wakefield, Virginia is in charge of arrangements.
