He was a member of Dendron Christian Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Herma Richardson Savedge; three sisters, Mrs. Sadie S. Clark, Mrs. Mollie S. Burgess and Mrs. Sugie S. Parsons of Richmond, and four brothers, W.W., C.E., B.A., and A.T. Savedge of Richmond. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, with burial in Waverly Cemetery. Birthdate &c. from D.Cert. 14085 (Richmond #1778), which gives s/o C.T. & Sally (LANE) SAVEDGE. His father, Charles Travis SAVEDGE, s/o Jesse & Elizie (WRIGHT) SAVEDGE, was a Confederate veteran, having served in the Surry Light Artillery. Travis 1m. Sarah R. LANE, & 2m. Anna Virginia PRICE, 15 Oct 1893 in Surry Co. He was b. Jun 1847 in Surry Co., d. 4 Feb 1915 in Elberon, & was bu. 6 Feb 1915 in Surry Co. (D.Cert. 4612 {Cobham #2}) His step-mother applied for a Confederate widow's pension in 1932. She & son Beverly Allen SAVEDGE are buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Richmond.
