WILLIAM DEVANEY SPRUILL 

  William D. Spruill, 91, of Dendron, Va., died Thursday, July 18, 2002 in the 
Waverly Health Care.  He was a native of Dendron, Va., the son of the late 
Joseph C. and Idella Avery Spruill.  He was a retired employee for the Windsor 
Supply Company and a member of the Dendron United Methodist Church.  He is 
survived by his wife, Edythe B. Spruill; a daughter and son-in-law, Ellen S. 
Watko and husband, "A.J.", two sons and daughter-in-law, William D. Spruill 
Jr. and wife, Beverly of Mechanicsville, David B. Spruill and wife, Janet of 
Chesterfield; and six grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held today, 
Monday, July 22, 2002 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral 
Home, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, with the Rev. Ray Rowland officiating. 
Burial will be in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg.  Flowers are welcome or 
donations may be made to the Dendron United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 163, 
Dendron, Va. 23839.


William Devany SPRUILL, of Dendron, retired from Windsor Supply, 
b. 21 Jan 1911, Dendron, d. 18 Jul 2002, Waverly, 
interred in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, 27 Oct 1959, 
E. Alvin Small Funeral Home obit,
