A native of Surry County, she was the wife of Benjamin Raney Stallings and a daughter of Joseph J. and Mrs. Bennett Seward. She was a member of Dendron Baptist Church and a retired public school teacher. Besides her husband, surviving are two sisters, Miss Annie W. Seward of Surry and Mrs. W.M. Steel of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and one brother, Joseph P. Seward, Jr., of Surry. A funeral service was held Monday, Dec. 7, at 2:30 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, by Dr. A.J. Duncan and Rev. R.B. Moore. Burial was in Mill Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Will Gwaltney, M.U. Hux, Edwin Berryman, Buck Perry, Clyde L. Cofer, Eugene Jones, Billy Joe Holloman and J. Rowell Seward. Madge L. (SEWARD; Mrs. B.
