B.R. Stallings 

  SURRY - Benjamin Raney Stallings, 76, died Thursday in his home near Surry.

  He was a lifelong resident of Surry County and a farmer.  He was a member 
and steward of Surry United Methodist Church and the Surry Hunt Club.

  Survivors include three sisters, Miss Kathleen Stallings of Newport News, 
Mrs. Louise Holleman of Ivor, and Mrs. Myrtle Rucks of Disputanta; two step-
daughters, and Mrs. Peggy M. Kitchen of Colonial Heights, and Mrs. Dorothy D. 
Cofer of Spring Grove; three step-sons, James W. McEnerney and Clyde W. 
McEnerney, both of Newport News, and Eugene H. McEnerney of Harrisonburg.

  A funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Purviance Funeral Home, 
Wakefield, by the Rev. D.L. Bays and the Rev. Clark Wiseman. 

  Burial will be in the Mill Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, Isle of Wight 
County.

  The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions 
to the Surry County Rescue Squad.
