D.Cert. 27297 (Blackwater #4) His widow's obits ("Progress-Index," Dec. 19, 1962, Purviance Funeral Home, & donated) are posted at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/va/surry/obits/s363m1ob.txt Note: I believe their names should be listed as Waverly, Edward Lee Stewart and Willie Bernard, Roy Hartwell and Ashton Leroy Stuart with a note of explanation that the Dendron 1st grade teacher misspelled Stewart. They went through school, military marriages and death with it being spelled Stuart. All five of them were born in Surry (Little Surry) and went to the Dendron school. Granddaddy James Graves Stewart came over from New Kent County to work in the saw mill and met Mary Marina (Mamie) Goodrich over here. None of the 5 boys' children had any ties to Surry.
