MARY MARINA "MAMIE" GOODRICH STEWART 

MAMIE G. STEWART 

  Mamie Goodrich Stewart, 78, died Dec. 18, at the home of her son, Willie B. 
Stewart [sic; Stuart] in Richmond.

  She was a member of Rocky Hock Church, a native of Surry County, the 
daughter of Emmett Wesley and Sallie Washington Goodrich, and the widow of 
James Graves Stewart.

  She is survived by three sons, Willie B. Stewart and Ashton L. Stewart of 
Richmond; and Roy H. Stewart [sic; Stuart] of Ashland; one brother, Odie 
Goodrich of Wakefield, and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at Purviance Funeral Chapel, Thursday, Dec. 20, 
at 2 p.m. with Rev. L.P. Bland officiating.  Burial was at Rocky Hock Church 
Cemetery.

  Pallbearers were J.G. Goodrich, Leslie Goodrich, B.H. Goodrich, John W. 
Goodrich, Edward O’Berry, John Carson and Gilbert Newton.

  Mrs. Stewart had made her home in the Wakefield community all her life until 
moving to Richmond two years ago.
