Mr. Stuart was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of Loyal Order of Moose, and retired from Ashland Auto Parts Co., Ashland. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Irene Wilmuth of Thomasville, N.C.; two step-daughters; two brothers, Ashton L. Stuart of Surry County and Willie B. Stuart of Richmond, and five grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, by the Rev. L.P. Bland. He was a native of Surry County; retired employee of Ashland Auto Parts Co., an Army Veteran of World War II; member of Royal Order of Moose No. 2099 Ashland. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Irene Wilmouth of Thomasville, NC; two stepdaughters, Mrs. June C. Minrick of Ashland and Mrs. Martha Thomas of Arvonia; two brothers, Willie B. Stuart of Richmond and Ashton L. Stuart of Surry County; five grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Thursday October 13, at 2:30 p.m. in the Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield. Burial with Moose Rites will be conducted in Rocky Hock Church Cemetery, Surry County.
