He was a native of Surry County and had lived in Richmond where he was employed by the Reynolds Metal Company for 25 years. He is survived by one son, James Glenn Stewart, of Richmond; his mother, Mrs. Mamie G. Stewart, of Wakefield; four brothers, Edward L. and Ashton L. Stewart both of Wakefield; Roy H. Stewart [sic*; Stuart] of Ashland, and Willie B. Stewart [sic*; Stuart] of Richmond, and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held on October 26 at 2 o’clock at the Purviance Funeral Chapel with Rev. L.P. Bland, officiating. Burial was at Rocky Hock Cemetery. Pallbearers were employees of the Reynolds Metal Company. Honorary pallbearers were friends of the family. ****************************************************************************** JAMES W. A native of Wakefield, he was a resident of Richmond, where he was employed by the Reynolds Metal Company for the past 25 years. He is survived by one son, James Glenn Stewart, of Richmond; his mother, Mamie M. Stewart, of Wakefield; four brothers, Edward L. Stewart and Ashton L. Stewart [sic*; Stuart], both of Wakefield; Willie B. Stewart [sic*; Stuart], of Richmond, and Roy H. Stewart [sic*; Stuart], of Ashland, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted in the Purviance Funeral Chapel in Wakefield at 2 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. L.P. Bland. Burial will be in the Rocky Hock Methodist Church Cemetery.
