Born in Dendron on April 22, 1910, she was the daughter of Wortley Alexander [sic; Alexander Worley*] Faison and Rosa Lee Skinner Faison. She was a member of Dendron Baptist Church and wife of the late Obed Edward Skinner. She is survived by her son, Darwyn Lee Skinner of Chesapeake; her daughter, Virginia Pherigo of Big Springs, Texas; and seven grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Gene Skinner. A graveside funeral service was held at the Faison Family Cemetery in Dendron with the Rev. Donnie Smith officiating. Arrangements were handled by Purviance Funeral Home Chapel in Wakefield.
