Thompson, died Saturday in Goodrich Nursing Home, Surry County. She was a retired teacher in the Surry County public schools and was a graduate of Longwood College. She was a member of Dendron Baptist Church. Survivors include two sisters, Lottie West MacAnally of Richmond and Ocie W. Hart of Dendron; and two brothers, Dr. T. Eugene West of Asheville, N.C. and P.G. West, Sr. of Bacons Castle. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Dendron Baptist Church by the Rev. Parker Hooper. Burial will be in Old Brick Church Cemetery, Bacons Castle, with Purviance Funeral Home in charge. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to Dendron Baptist Church of Bacons Castle Baptist Church.
