Whitmore, 79, widow of Thomas J. Whitmore, of Dendron, died yesterday at a Richmond hospital. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Hodman Conway, of Hopewell; Mrs. Ogden Glazebrook and Mrs. Russell C. Ark, of Richmond and Mrs. Robert Slade, of Dendron; three sons, Thomas B. Whitmore, of Dendron; Everett Whitmore, of Jarrett, and J.W. Whitmore, of Suffolk; 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, four sisters and a brother. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at the home of Ed Faison by the Rev. R.E. Brittle, nephew of Mrs. Whitmore. Burial will be in Union Church Cemetery in Dendron. Her son Thomas Bryant WHITMORE is buried in Wakefield Cemetery.
