IOLA VENETTA BARRETT WILKINS 

  Funeral services were held Wednesday at Nash and Shaw Funeral Home at 
Colonial Beach for Mrs. Iola B. Wilkins, who died June 18, in Fredericksburg 
after a long illness.

  Mrs. Wilkins was retired postmaster of the former post office at Maple 
Grove, widow of J. Leroy Wilkins and daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Waverly 
S. Barrett of Dendron.

  She is survived by her younger daughter, Mrs. Virginia W. McConkie of Maple 
Grove, five sisters, Mrs. Garland Spratley, Mrs. Eugene Harward, Mrs. Harry 
Spratley, Cal, Elizabeth Barrett and Mrs. Charles Gutridge and two 
grandchildren.

  Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery - Westmoreland County.

She assumed charge of the Maple Grove P.O. 15 Jun 1952.  It was discontinued, 
   effective 6 May 1966, after which the mail was sent to Colonial Beach. 

Her parents, Waverly Sebastian & May Wilhelmina (HIGGINS) BARRETT, are buried 
   in Spring Hill Christian Church Cemetery.  Her maternal grandparents, 
   Alpine Grant & Susan Ann (McLELLAN) HIGGINS, are also buried there. 
   Find a Grave calls it Springhill Cemetery.  (Mem. #52761672 &c.) 

Her paternal grandparents, John Burwell & Nancy (BARNES) BARRETT, are buried 
   in a BARRETT family cemetery, on Barretts Church Rd.
