WARREN BURIED WEDNESDAY AT BACONS CASTLE Funeral services for Mrs. Charles Walker Warren, 73, of Smithfield, who died at her home at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, were held on Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock conducted by the Rev. William Brayshaw, pastor of Christ Episcopal Church. Mrs. Warren was widely connected by birth and marriage with leading families in this section. Interment was at Bacons Castle in Surry County. The deceased is survived by one son, Walker Pegram Warren; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Violet Lawson Warren, and one sister, Mrs. Thomas N. Jones, all of Smithfield. WARREN, b. 27 Aug 1860, Surry Co., d. 14 Apr 1942, at home, Smithfield, interred in Old Brick Church Cemetery*, Bacons Castle, 15 Apr 1942, "The Smithfield (VA) Times," Vol. 24, No. 3, Apr. 16, 1942 *Additional information: Birthdate &c. from D.Cert. #9275 (Smithfield #11).
