John BERRYMAN, will, dated 23 Aug 1711, proved 21 Nov 1711 
               inventory & appraisement, taken 15 Dec 1711, 
                                     presented 19 Dec 1711  

I, John Berryman of Lawne’s Creek Parish in the county of Surry being sick & 
     weak in body yet - praise be to God of reasonable sence & memory do make 
     ordain & constitute this my last Will & Testam: as for the disposing of 
     what worldly Estate it hath pleased God to bestow upon me this 23d: day 
     of August 1711 viz:  My Will & desire is that my loving wife shall have 
     the Plantatn: whereon we now live during her naturall life and after her 
     death to my son John and his heirs.- 

Imps- My Will is that my son Robert shall have the Plantatn: whereon David 
     Rice lately lived & the division between the two said Plantats: to be as 
     it was the said Rices time & if my daughter Elizabeth pleaseth as long as 
     she remains unmarried she shall have toleration & priviledge on the said 
     Plantatn: with Robert.---

Imps- My Will is that all the rest of my Goods & Chattells in whatsoever kind 
     that I have my just debts being first paid may be equally divided between 
     my Six Children & my Loving wife before mentioned whom I make my sole 
     Executx: of this my Last Will & Testamt:  In Testimony of which I have 
     hereunto put my hand & Seal the day & year above written.---
