In the name of God amen I Benjamin BELL of Surry County & State of Virginia being of sound mind
and memory do Make and Ordain this my last will and testament in the manner and form as 
follows:
Item 1st I loan unto Rebecah PRICE during her natural life all my personal Estate except what I 
shall hereafter otherwise dispose of:
Item 2nd after my death my will and desire is there shall be such of my personal property sold 
as the said Rebecca PRICE shall see proper to spare as will discharge all my just debts:
Item 3rd my will and desire is that after the death of Rebecca PRICE that the whole of my 
personal Estate except my negro woman Lucy be sold at public sale and the money arising from 
such sale be equally divided between my three Grand Sons to wit: Robert, William & Thomas 
THOMPSON to them and their heirs forever:
Item 4  At the death of Rebecca PRICE I give my negro woman Lucy to my Grand son Thomas

Item 5th I hereby Constitute and appoint my friends William WILLIAMS and Thomas ROWELL Sen:r my
whole and Sole Executors of this my last will and testament: Given under my hands & Seal this 
twenty sixth day of September One thousand eight hundred and twenty Six

At a Court held for the County of Surry the 28th day of December 1829.
     This last will and testament of Benjamin BELL dec.d was exhibited into Court and proved by 
the oath of one witness thereto subscribed and Ordered to be recorded  And on the motion of 
Samuel PRICE who made oath and together with Tobias PRICE and William W. BELL his securities 
entered into & acknowledged a bond in the penalty of One thousand dollars Conditioned as the 
law directs Certificate is granted the said Samuel PRICE for obtaining letters of 
administration on said Estate with the will annexed in due form,
