WILL OF JOSEPH FORD (1703) (partial)

In the name of God amen, I, Joseph Ford, of Lawnes Creek parish in ye county of
Surry being weak of body but of sound and perfect memory, praise be to God do
proclaim and appoint this tobe my Last Will and Testament in manner an form
following:

I give and bequesath my soul to God that gave it inso trusting through the
meritorious? death and pasion of my Lord Savior and redeemer Jesus Christ to
herewith pardon for all my sins and my body to ye earth to be decently buried
and at ye discretion of my ex. ex.  (probably stands for executors and
administrators) hereafter named:

I give and bequeath to my loving wife Mary one feather bed with curtains and
pillows: one cubboard and round table, one trunk and warming the strabs?,
flaggon? a looking glass, four pewter dishes, 4 plates?, one balon?, one

NOTE: this document appeared at the bottom of one of the documents I was 
copying. It is not one of my ancesters, therefore I did not copy the balance
of the will.  It is included here to give some small help to those descended
from Mr. Ford. There is no date on the portion I copied but it follows
my document which is dated 6th July 1703, at a court held at Southmark in
the county of Surry, Virginia.
