The 1989 application describes it as a 49-acre tract, [a remnant of a] 517-acre farm, on Route 632 [Hunting Quarter Rd], south of Rt. 608. It actually lies between the offset portions of Rt. 608, on the east side of Rt. 632 and the west side of hunting Quarter Swamp. The family cemetery lies north of the house, beyond a modern barn. There is also a slave cemetery, well east of the house. {VDHR File No. 91-31} The application is online at the Virginia Department of Historic Resources. Benjamin Harrison IV, of Berkeley Plantation, Charles City Co., left will, probated in 1745, bequeathing the tract to his son Henry Harrison. Henry served in the French & Indian War. He died intestate in 1772. Henry Harrison II took possession of his father's land in 1783, married in 1785 Mary Starke Cocke, and died intestate in 1798. His son Henry J. Harrison 1m.
