Persons or organizations desiring to use this material, must obtain the written consent of the contributor, or the legal representative of the submitter, and contact the listed USGenWeb archivist with proof of this consent. ************************************************************************ Contributed by Christie Canfield **************************************************************** This Indenture made this eighth day of March in the year of our lord one Thousand eight hundred and one between Colin Blunt of Sussex County of the one part and William Wrenn of the aforesaid County of the other part Witnesseth that the Said Colin Blunt in order to Secure a debt due Butts Birdsong of one hundred and Forty Six pounds twelve Shillings and eight pence as pr bonds on demand in consideration of one dollar to him in hand paid by the Said William Wrenn at or before the Sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt is hereby acknowledged he the said Colin Blunt hath Granted, bargained, aliened, relinquished and by these presents doth bargain, Sell, alien, relinquish to the said William Wrenn a certain tract or parcel of land containing three hundred acres adjoining Jesse Hargarves Butts Birdsongs and Daniel Turners lines it being a part of the said Blunts land on the Seacaunes lying on the east side of his maneur plantation a line to be run so as to include three hundred acres to have and to hold the said land mentioned unto the said Wm Wrenn his heirs & assigns that is to say on Special trust nevertheless that the Said William Wrenn his heirs &C shall or may as soon as he conveniently Can after the eighth day of September next after giving ten days public notice in some public place near the residence of sd Blunt proceed to Sell the same to the highest bidder for the best price that can be had in cash and out of the money arising therefrom first pay the debt above mentioned and contingent expenses and the balance if any pay to the said Colin Blunt his heirs and Assigns In Witness whereof the Said Colin Blunt hath hereunto Set his hand and Seal the day & year above Written Signed Sealed & acknowledged Colin Blunt (Seal) In presence of us Jesse Fells William Wrenn (Seal) Henry Jarrad Thomas Jared At a court held for Sussex County the 6th day of May 1802 This Indenture was proved to be the act and deed of Colin Blunt the party thereto by the oaths of the three Subscribing Witnesses thereto and ordered to be Recorded Examined Teste James C.
