THIS INDENTURE made this Eighth day of February in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy Three By and Between Thomas Hunt of the County of Brunswick of the one part and John Rivers of the County of Sussex of the other part WITNESSETH that the said Thomas Hunt for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and forty five pounds Current money of virginia to him in hand paid by the said John Rivers the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and himself therewith contented satisfied and paid Hath bargained sold aliened Enfeoffed and confirmed and made over and Doth by these presents for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators and all and every of them Bargain sell alien Eneoff release and for ever make over unto the said John Rivers his Heirs and assigns forever One Certain Tract or Parcell of Land Situate lying and being in the County of Sussex aforesaid and Bounded as followeth (Viz) Beginning at the mouth of a small Branch on the East side of Harry's Swamp thence up the Various Courses of the run of the said Branch to a Mark't White Oak a Corner of Thomas Butlers Land thence by the said Butlers Line North Eighty five Degrees East fifty Two poles thence North Fifty Degrees East one hundred and six poles to a White Oak thence along a Line of Mark't Trees made by agreement to a Corner Turkey Oak at the head of the ______ thence along a Line of ____ by agreement to a corner Hickory at the head of Strays meadow Hogghole thence down Dicks Branch to the mouth thence a Straight Course to the County Line Thence along the County Line to Harry's Swamp and thence down the Courses of the said Swamp to the beginning Being by Estimation Three hundred Acres be the same more or less Together with the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders right Estate benefit Claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Thomas Hunt of in and to the said Land and Premisses or any part thereof TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said Tract or Parcell of Land together with all and Singular the Premisses with their appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said Thomas Hunt his Heirs and assigns for ever to the only proper use and behoof of him the said John Rivers his Heirs and assigns And the said Thomas Hunt for him and his Heirs the said Tract or Parcell of Land with all and Singular the Premisses with their appurtenances thereunto belonging unto him the said John Rivers his Heirs and assigns for ever against him the said Thomas Hunt & his Heirs and against any other person or persons whatsoever laying claim thereto or against the said Land and Premisses shall and will Warrant and for ever defend the aforesaid Land and Premisses by these presents.
