Persons or organizations desiring to use this material, must obtain the written consent of the contributor, or the legal representative of the submitter, and contact the listed USGenWeb archivist with proof of this consent. ************************************************************************ Contributed by Christie Canfield **************************************************************** This Indenture made this 15th day of January 1817 Between Winifred Long James Long and Lucy his wife of the one part and Barham Wren of the other part all of Sussex County Witnesseth that the said Winifred Long James Long and Lucy his wife for and in Consideration of the Sum of fifteen dollars to them in hand paid the receipt of which they hereby acknowledge Hath granted bargained and Sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and Sell unto the said Barham Wren and his heirs and assigns forever a Certain piece or parcel of Land situate lying and being in the County of Sussex Containing one and a half acres be the same more or less and bounded by the Land of the said James Long and Barham Wren. To have and to hold the said piece or parcel of Land with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto him the said Barham Wren his heirs and assigns forever. To the only proper use and behoof of him the said Barham Wren his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Winifred Long James Long and Lucy his wife for themselves and their heirs doth Covenant and agree to and with the Said Barham Wren and his heirs and assigns that they will forever Warrant and defend the right and title of the said piece or parcel of land against the claim and demand of all and every person whatsoever -------- In Witness whereof the said Winifred Long James Long and Lucy his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above Written ------ Signed & acknd her inpresence of Winifred x Long (Seal) mark James Long . . . .
