Witnesseth that the said Robert Pennington for and in consideration of the sum of Sixteen hundred and thirty two dollars to him in hand paid by the said Jesse Wren the receipt whereof he the said Robert Pennington doth hereby acknowledge, he the said Robert Pennington hath granted bargained and Sold, and by these presents doth grant bargain and Sell unto the said Jesse Wren and to his heirs and assigns forever one certain tract or parcel of Land Situate, lying and being on the South Side of Nottoway river, in the said County of Sussex Supposed to contain two hundred and four Acres, (be the same more or less) and bounded as followeth, Beginning at a pine on the said Jesse Wren's land, thence along the said Wrens line to Wyche's branch, thence down Wyches branch, to the hunting Quarter Swamp thence up the hunting quarter swamp to James Pennington Jr line, thence along the said Penningtons line to Allens rode, thence up Allens rode to Andersons branch thence down Andersons branch to the hunting quarter Swamp, thence down the hunting quarter swamp to John Penningtons line, thence along the said Penningtons line to Allens rode, thence up the said road, to the beginning, and also the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders thereof, and also all ways, waters, and water courses, to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining, together with all the estate, right title interest claim and demand whatsoever to the said tract or parcel of Land belonging, To have and to hold. the said tract or parcel of land and premises unto him the said Jesse Wren his heirs and assigns forever freed and discharged from all claims of dower or any other encumbrance whatsoever, and he the said Robert Pennington for himself his heirs, exors and admrs the title of the said tract or parcel of land and premises with the appertenances unto the said Jesse Wren, and his heirs and assigns against him the said Robert Pennington and his heirs, and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents – In Witness whereof he the said Robert Pennington have hereunto Set his hand and affixed his Seal the day and year first before written --------- Sealed & delivered Robert Pennington (Seal) in presents of B.
