Deed - Leonard Parker to E.(Edwin/Edward)Stallings (Deed Book 19, page 56, Sussex County, VA.) This deed, made and entered into this 17th day of December Nineteen Hundred and Six, by and between Leonard Parker and S.A.E.Parker his wife parties of the first part and E.Stallings party of the second part, all of Sussex County Virginia, witnesseth: that the parties of the first part in consideration of the sum of Twelve Hundred ($1200.00) Dollars cash in hand to them by the party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said parties of the first part do hereby grant, bargain, sell and convey, with general warranty of title to the party of the second part the following property to wit; All of that certain tract, piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being in Sussex County Virginia, near Sappony Church, containing one hundred and eight acres, more or less, and bounded as follows to wit; on the North by Owen Branch, on the East by Green Church road, on the South by Cabin Point road, and on the West by the lands of Vincent Deal and is the same land conveyed to Leonard Parker by W.V.Martin and others by deed dated September 19th,1906, to which said deed reference is here made for a more minute description of the said land. The said parties of the first part Covenant that they have the right to convey the said land, that they have done no act to encumber the same, that the grantee shall have quiet possession of the same free from all encumberances and that they will execute such further assurances of the said land as may be requisite. Witness the following signatures & seals. Leonard Parker (Seal) S.A.E.Parker (Seal) Virginia Sussex County, to wit: I J.T.Humphrey a Commissioner in Chancery of the Circuit Court for the County aforesaid, in the State of Virginia, do certify that Leonard Parker and Esse E.Parker his wife, whose names are signed to the writing above, bearing date December 17th 1906, have acknowledged the same before me in my County aforesaid.
