Deed - Annie G.Poarch to J.G. Mayes & Thomas F. Crowder (Deed Book 20, page 427, Sussex Co. VA. THIS DEED of sale made this 13th day of December in the year 1909,by and between Annie G.Poarch of the County of Dinwiddie,Va.,of the first part, and J.G. Mayes and Thomas F. Crowder of the County of Sussex,Va., of the second part,Witnesseth,That for and in consideration of the sum of Two Thousand Dollars. One Thousand Dollars cash in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, and the remaining One Thousand Dollars to be paid in two equal installments, of Five Hundred Dollars each, with interest from date in one and two years. The parties of the second part to execute to the party of the first part as follows, one note to be paid on December 15th,1910, one note on December 15th,1911. The said party of the first part doth sell and convey with general warranty unto the parties of the second part, all of those certain tracts or parcels of land with all the appurtenances thereto belonging (except the Grave Yard, thirty feet square, with the right of ingress and egress thereto which is reserved to Edward Stallings under Deed dated Aug.23,1905)to E.A.poarch, decd lying and being situated in the County of Sussex,State of Virginia, containing 311 acres, more or less, and bounded as follows, North by the lands of Lem Mason, East by the lands of Robt.K.Bass, and South by the lands of R.K.Bass and Richard H. Robinson, West by the lands of Wm.Long, Chas.Trisvant and Isham Ruffin,It being the same tract of land conveyed by deed to E.A.Poarch by Edward Stallings, by Deed dated Aug.23,1905, and recorded in the County Clerks Office of Sussex Co.Va., Deed Book 17,page 83, to which Deed reference is here made,a more minute description thereto, and the said Annie G.Poarch covenants that she has the right to convey the said land to the Grantee. That the said land is free from all encumbrances whatsoever,that she has done no act to encumber the same, and that she will execute such further assurances of and for the said land as may be requisite.
