Persons or organizations desiring to use this material, must obtain the written consent of the contributor, or the legal representative of the submitter, and contact the listed USGenWeb archivist with proof of this consent. ************************************************************************ Contributed by Christie Canfield **************************************************************** This Indenture made this 5th day of the second Month in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Seven Between John Stephenson of Southampton County of the one part & William Wren of Sussex County of the other part, Witnesseth that the said John Stephenson being desirous to secure a debt due the Joseph Sebrell of Two hundred & fifty dollars as Pr Bond executed to sd Sebrell which bond will fully express & in consideration of one dollar to him in hand paid by the said William Wren at or before the ensealing or delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged he the said Stephenson hath granted bargained & Sold Aliend Enfeoffed & by these presents doth grant bargain & sell alien enfeoff & confirm unto the said William Wren trustee one certain tract or parcel of Land lying in Sussex County & adjoining Drewry Lane John Lanes James Davis Jesse Fells & Nicholas Moris containing seventy five acres on the North side part thor? of the sd Sebrell purchased of John Kitchen & the remainder of Nathan Fells be the same more of less and also all trees woods underwoods commons common of pastures profits commodities advantages Emoluments Hereditaments whatsoever to the said William Wren his heirs and assigns upon trust nevertheless that the said William Wren may and Shall after the 25th day of Octr 1808 on giving ten days notice in some public place near the residence of sd Stephenson proceed to sell the said land to the highest bider for the best price that can be had for ready money and out of the money arising therefrom first pay the debt above mentioned in case it is not paid before together with the contingent charges & its ballance if any pay to the said Stephenson his Heirs &C In Witness whereof the sd Stephenson have hereunto set his hand & affixed his seal the day and Year above written ----- Signed Sealed & delivered in in the presents of us --- John Stephenson (Seal) her Milly + Wren mark Lydia Wren Nathan Oberry At a Court held for Sussex County the 2nd day of April 1807 ----- This Indenture was acknowledged by John Stephenson the party thereto to be his Act and deed and ordered to be recorded --------- exd Teste H Bailey Clk Sussex Co.
