Deed - Commissioners for Wiley Sammons to Allen & James L.Sammons
(Deed Book V, page 400, Sussex Co.VA.)

This Deed made and entered into this 3d day of January in the year 1856
Between H.M.Magee, Jos.T.Sammons Commissioners appointed by the County
Court of sussex December Term 1855 to sell the land of Wiley Sammons 
dec'd. and Allen Sammons and James L.Sammons witnesseth that in
Consideration of the sum of three hundred and forty dollars do grant 
unto the said Allen and James L.Sammons etc. the said tract or parcel 
of Land containing by estimation one hundred and sixty Acres be the 
same more or less. And bounded as follows by the Land of Joseph H.
Parker, James Key of the State of Alabama, Thomas Tatum and John S.
Dobie the said Commissioners convey only such title to the said Land as
an ______ in as Commissioners appointed to act under a decree of the
said Court of Sussex In Witness whereof we have set our hand and seal
the day and date first above written.

In the Clerks office of Sussex County Court on the 3d day of January
1856 this Indenture of bargain & sale for H.M.Magee and Jos.T.Sammons
Comm. to Allen and James L.Sammons and presented into this office and
acknowledged and admitted to record.
